Batman Black and White Statueby *duss005

we've been working on this statue for a while now, so this post is one of those i've really been dying to share. I remember seeing the first wave of statues, the mignola, the risso, the paul pope, the steve rude... i said "one day man. one day".

but yeah.. this might not be huge for other guys that have been around a while, but it's huge for me.

i remember talking to

while driving back from SDCC this year and saying " once this statue is out, i can finally move on. i can finally stop obsess over drawing batman all day and night".

i think he said something like " sure, whatever" or something sarcastic and condescending under his breath. i should have pulled over and socked him in his 6ft hairy punk rock face right there on the 405.

anyway, with this, my life is complete.

for holding my hand thru this whole thing. He did an amazing job on the sculpt and wised me up to a lot of the skill and technology involved. If you're not familiar with Joe's work, you probably already have some of his toys in your house.. or his work in .. your POCKETS. he's one of the very few high end digital sculptors working full time at the United States Mint ( watch the man in action here- [link] )and still manages to find time to work in the entertainment field for us.

NO EFFING WAY, i was litteraly just looking at this statue with my boyfriend the other day and commenting on how this was our second favorite one next to the one i had (which is the Jim aparo one). WE really loved how the cape was bent in like that
