not sure if anyone knows or cares, but Jet from the WS universe was originally called CRIMSON, daughter of backlash.
my first book/character ever to work on when i broke in was to redesign her for her own miniseries ( with
of all people!). We created Jet for a 4 issue mini.
i moved on to wildcats and BEGGED them to bring her to wildcats. i mean.. come ON- half asian chic with family problems? that screams 3.o... but- no go.
8 years later, i leave to Detective comics to draw batman, they decide to have her join Wildcats. sonuvabitch!but WS knew how much i adored the character so presented me the opportunity to be the one to redesign her once more...
and so was born- jetlash.
