so here's some bat chics i drew for myself. usually not really big on posting work in progress art, but seeing how i'll never finish this, i guess its done for me.
it's been sitting on my right side pile since october last year. (the left side pile is the "done and sitting there as reference to the next sequence in the book page" and the front pile is the "done and ready to scan" pile, and the pile on the computer table is the "ready for fedex" pile... needless to say, the right side pile is the biggest.)
i started out with the little batgirl, i know shes a lot younger than she shoudl be probably, but that just makes her kick more ass to me. i think i lost interest in it half way thru batgirl then completely, by the time i got to batwoman. then i just lost it altogether when i got to the capes and gargoyle.
anyway, this is 11x17 and what stuff looks like before i scale it up, print it out, clean it up, transfer it over to watercolor stock and paint it.
i know its only may or april or something, but i dont see it happening this year.
I love this piece, I was wondering if I took a crack at coloring it? would that be cool? I love the generation pic of batgirls/women and love your sketchy version of them!
Faved!! Whilst I really do like the way you've drawn the Batgirls, the way you've drawn their billowing capes and that gargoyle in the foreground just leap at you. I somehow find the gargoyle more striking than the Batgirls put together! What style would you describe that as?
nice done,
although I don't like Batgirl yours is adorable...
