the batcave parts in this issue was probably one of my most anticipated parts to work on. the disappointment came when i realized i didn't have 2 months to work on this issue, so i never got to really think about the cave much and dove right in with the rest of the panels.
if you notice in the first few pages, there are LOTS of steps and stairs. but towards the end, i realized- "wait, batgirl/oracle's in a wheelchair. so i went back and erased a lot of steps and made them ramps instead ( mostly around the computer areas) should she ever need to navigate the cave. we all know she wont because if she did, we'll just draw a ramp then and there.. or make up some device to lift her.. but you know.. just for imagination's sake..
anyway, lots of fun.
that huge hanging goofy looking contraption in the first page is the flying batcave of course. and then there's the "batmobile" ( "that's what you called it, Dick. kind of name a kid woudl come up with...")
LOOKS
SO
COOL!
I would love to visit this version of the BatCave. So big, with all the batmobiles...
Nice work! I hope to see something like that in Dark Knight Rises or in Batman Arkham City.
Gotta go pick up Heart of Hush HC today.
I picked up Heart of Hush yesterday. Looks awesome! Looking forward to reading it.
