"Greed is for amateurs. Disorder, chaos, anarchy: now that's fun!"
what program did you use?...and is there any way I could download it for free somewhere?
I have a photoshop-esque program called Gimp2, and it works pretty well.
...but in your first dawing to the left, i've always wondered if there was some setting on photoshop that you could color over black lines, but not dilute the black line.

Should look like this
Layer 1 - lineart set in multiply mode
Background layer - color
You can use as many layers as you want. hope that helps

PUT PANTS ON THAT HOG!!!
Buy my art at Imagekind!
the way you do this is you go to the layers palette and you click on top of the lineart layer then above you'll see a bar you click on the arrow and you choose multiply function then you create a blank layer beneath it and start your coloring.
you can also create different layers to label your colors. like a separate layer for skin and so on..
hope it helps!
